Not having a food storage goal is one of the biggest reasons you haven’t been able to succeed and complete your long term food storage.

Like anything else in life, have a finish line, a goal, to strive towards is the way you’ll actually finish the race.  Here are a few reasons why you’ want to have a food storage goal.

3 Reasons you want to have a goal for food storage

Long term vision and short term motivation.

When you set a goal for food storage, you see the overall reason why you want it and what you are working towards.  It’s a lot harder to climb a mountain when you can’t see the top of it.  Knowing there is a stopping point, a finish line, an end gives you that motivation to keep on moving.

Helps you become laser focused

As you know what your goal is, you have it written down, you’ve told friends and family about it, it allows you to become laser focused.  Your brain thinks about that goal while you’re sleeping and gives you ideas throughout the day of resources and knowledge to keep you working towards that goal.

You’re able to measure your progress

When you keep working towards something, over months or years, sometimes you tend to forget where you actually started. This then leads to not feeling like you’re getting anywhere, and when that happens, you get frustrated and quit.  On your goals, your dreams!

When you set a goal, ” I will have a 3 month supply of food storage”, as you inventory your food storage, you can see progress.  As you see progress, you get excited and keep up the motivation to keep working towards your goals.

In conclusion

Setting a goal for your food storage helps you to become even more laser focused and allows you to reach your goals even quicker.  So, if you truly want to have a good storage for lifes greatest emergencies, turn that dream into a goal and make a plan.

A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward it’s achievement. -Bo Bennett
